DOK's roadsafetymodel.com is a comprehensive data platform that contains a wide range of carefully formulated risk indicators. The indicators are based on road safety literature and a machine learning predictive model for 'out of the box' insights. The standard version is available on a (inter)national level for all road maintainers with additional customizations if required. Whenever possible open data is used from sources such as NWB, BRON, BGT, Openstreetmap, NDW V85 and OpenOV.

'By tackling road safety risks at an early stage, we aim to prevent accidents. Twelve regional road safety risks have been defined in the Utrecht Road Safety Task and in the Regional Road Safety Implementation Agenda. Safety risks that we will tackle in the coming years together with road authorities and stakeholders. The Utrecht Road Safety Model helps detect, identify, prioritize and monitor these road safety risks.
